Pumpkin Picking!

As promised we did finally make it out pumpkin picking! Jes was super excited and I must admit so was I! It's not something I ever did growing up but I love that it's a new tradition that me and Jes now have to look forward to every year.

We tried out a new place this year, it was smaller than the one we went to last year but I kind of liked that about it. It was family run and everything was as perfect and adorable as it should be on a farm (obviously any real life experiences with farms have been non existent given I use worlds like adorable to describe them).

Of course there were plenty of cutouts for pictures...

Surprised I got a decent picture considering she spent the whole time saying,
"Oooohhhhh, I'm a witch! I cast a spell on yoooouuuuu!!"

And then of course it was time for the hayride out to the pumpkin field!

After our first lap around the pumpkin field we decided to take a break and let our options marinate while we played on a tractor...

...made our way through the corn maze....
(apparently actually being in the corn maze is way more exciting than either starting or finishing it)

....gave a 'ghost' a hug...

...and FINALLY we found our pumpkin!

After making our way back on the hayride once again, we hung out with a witch ( Jes has apparently developed some kind of love for witches lately, not sure if that should scare me...)

And of course our day would not be complete if no one's face was painted.  The woman asked her what she would like to which she simply replied, "Elsa." Kudos to this woman who was able to come up with this great interpretation of "Elsa".

On our way out we couldn't help but notice (smell the deliciousness of) their homemade apple cider donuts, so of course we had to grab some. I was able to show a little restraint and wait until we got home. Jes however, could barely wait till we got in the car.

All in all we had a great day. Any day out with my little pumpkin (pun intended) is a good day to me! Is pumpkin picking a tradition in your home? Any other fun fall traditions? Leave a comment and let me know, I'd love to hear from you!
